1. Who we are Socialize Tallinn ("we", "us") operates the website at socialize.ee and the related social network. The data controller for this service can be reached at privacy@socialize.ee. 2. What we collect • Account data: email address, display name, optional profile photo, languages, interests, city. • Content you post: events, classifieds, ratings, comments, messages, photos. • Usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, actions taken (event joined, profile viewed). Stored to keep the service safe and to improve it. • Cookies: see our Cookie policy at /cookies. 3. Why we use it • To run the service: show you events, members, listings and messages. • To keep the platform safe: detect spam, harassment and inappropriate content. • To improve the product: understand what people use and what they don't. • To comply with the law: respond to lawful requests from Estonian authorities. 4. Legal bases under GDPR • Performance of contract (article 6.1.b): running your account. • Legitimate interest (6.1.f): platform safety and product improvement. • Consent (6.1.a): marketing emails, non-essential cookies. • Legal obligation (6.1.c): tax records, lawful requests. 5. Who processes your data We use carefully chosen processors: • Lovable Cloud (hosting, database, authentication, file storage) - hosted in the EU. • Lovable AI (content moderation and translations). • Firecrawl (scraping public news and lunch offers). • ElevenLabs (text-to-speech for the daily podcast). • Resend (transactional email delivery). Each processor signs a Data Processing Agreement and is bound by GDPR. 6. International transfers Some processors may transfer data outside the EEA under Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. 7. How long we keep it • Active accounts: as long as you keep the account. • Deleted accounts: erased within 30 days, except where law requires longer retention (e.g. financial records up to 7 years). • Activity logs: 12 months. • Moderation decisions: 24 months. 8. Your rights Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to processing of your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, aki.ee). Email privacy@socialize.ee to exercise any of these rights. 9. Children The service is not intended for users under 16. If you believe a minor has registered, email privacy@socialize.ee and we will remove the account. 10.
